Luxury Dining: The famed East Harlem restaurant Rao's has served up legendary homestyle Italian food in New York since its opening in 1896. Now the Rao's family has made a move to Las Vegas. This cavernous restaurant at Caesars Palace is quickly becoming a hotspot for power lunches and A-list diners.
Aside from the Neapolitan cuisine, the atmosphere is pure old-school. The dark wood-paneled walls in the string of dining rooms and individual spaces are blanketed with signed photos of friends, celebrities, family and presidents of past and present. The multi-sided, dark oak bar is usually ringed with singles who stop to sip a libation and watch the action in the main room that features a 25-foot-high domed ceiling. During the day the outdoor terrace with a bocce ball court is always buzzing and at night the 50-seat lounge offers a cool nightcap.
