Moon Hits High Note
Las Vegas Nightlife: This boutique club 53 stories above the streets of Las Vegas has lured stars such as Paris and Nicky Hilton, Macy Gray and Fergie to its delicious dance floor. Moon, the space-age themed new hot spot at the Palms' Fantasy Tower, features a glass tile floor that changes colors as revelers rock to DJs spinning sizzling tunes.
Service is key at Moon, where cocktail servers and gogo dancers in short, tight metallic silver uniforms and black boots move about the main dance floor, weaving in and out of the crowd to please parched partiers. Topping the floor-to-ceiling windows that offer a view of the Strip is a retractable roof. When open, a starry desert night becomes the ceiling, and when closed a laser and space show is played, adding to the pulsating atmosphere.
Moon is open late-night Thursday-Sunday from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. Local tip: There's usually a line to get into the elevators that whisk you to the top of the Fantasy Tower. Bummer, but you can spend your time well simply people watching or star gazing as the Palms is small enough that you can glimpse boldnamers as they meander in and out of the gaming area or exit a club. Call (702) 492-3960.
