Luxury Dining As It's Meant To Be
Las Vegas Dining: Under Old Tuscan monastery-style arched ceilings guests to Delmonico Steakhouse at The Venetian dine in luxury on some of the finest cuts of beef in the city.
Emeril Lagasse's 260-seat steakhouse is renowned for its elegance and sumptuous entrees. Filet mignon, bone-in New York strip, rib-eye and charbroiled dry-aged beef sirloin are the stars of this menu. Each is prepared to your satisfaction with bacon-cheddar twice-baked potato, Creole tomato glaze and horseradish cream. Emeril's famous pork chops are served with bacon-wrapped shrimp and bourbon smashed sweet potatoes. The New Orleans gumbo of the day is thick with flavor, pulled chicken and andouille sausage. Start off with one of the amazing appetizers such as baby arugula with candied pecans, shaved manchego cheese and vanilla-shallot vinaigrette; classic steak tartare with Dijon emulsion and baguette toast points; and pan-fried Parmesan oysters Bienville with shrimp or the bacon and fresh spinach pasta. Other pasta dishes include creamy shrimp scampi with garlic, white wine butter sauce and Parmesan. The lobster is just about as fresh as you get at this steakhouse. Live Maine lobster swim in the kitchen tank until ordered.
Not one to be undone even for desert, the banana bread pudding served warm with ice cream and thick fudge sauce is a perfect ending to the New Orleans-inspired dishes. The wine selection is extensive, chosen for you from the large, glass-encased wine rooms that reach the 15-foot ceiling. Delmonico's at The Venetian is open daily for lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. and for dinner Sunday to Thursday from 5:30-11 p.m. Call (702) 414-3737.
