Video Music Awards...Surprises In Store?

Amy Winehouse, the warbler behind the big hit (and theme-song this summer of many celebutards) "Rehab," has been seen dazed and confused on London streets lately. She and new hubby Blake Fielder-Civil are being asked, tearfully, by their parents to get some help for what they say is an obvious drug addiction between them both. Blake's pop Giles Fielder-Civil recently went onto BBC Radio to ask MTV not to acknowledge her award until she goes to rehab for alcohol and heroin. She is up for Best New Artist, Female Artist of the Year and Video of the Year. Wow. But success apparently doesn't do away with the demons. Her father-in-law emotionally went on to say "They're a very close couple, and if one dies through substance abuse, the other may commit suicide."

Winehouse has bowed out of the awards show.

Britney Spears, however, plans to put the brakes on the trainwreck that has publicly been her life with a rumored amazing comeback. This is one show to watch. The Palms will close its doors to the public at 1:30 p.m. Sunday. Those inside the casino at that time can stay for the spectacular. Expect the capacity to be at bursting. The Palms is taping segments in its exclusive celebrity suites as well as its high-limit area and restaurants. Arrivals for the red carpet start at 2:30 p.m. and the show goes live at 6 p.m. They'll need that seven-second delay button at the ready.
