Insider: Want to know the hippest club in Vegas? It's Tao, according to Forbes. TAO was recently named one of the top 10 hottest nightclubs in the country by Forbes Traveler. And, surprisingly it was the only Las Vegas nightclub to make the list. The haute hot spot is not only gorgeous, it attracts celebrities for birthdays, parties, special events and after-parties.
And last weekend was no different. Eddie Murphy's fiancée Tracey Edmonds celebrated her bachelorette party Saturday. Fourteen of her best friends flew in from LA and New York to get the party started. On Saturday night they all sat down to a dinner of lobster wontons, Wasabi Crusted Filet Mignon, Chilean Sea Bass, and Spicy Tuna Rolls. Yummy! Tracey's friends surprised her with a huge congratulations cake at the end of dinner. The party moved to Tao Nightclub and danced into the wee hours of the night. Also spotted in the club that night was "Lost" star Matthew Fox, who congratulated the bride-to-be.
It was perfect timing, or bad timing, depending on your perspective. The Spice Girls were in town for their 3-day show at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. Scary Spice, a.k.a., Melanie Brown, gave birth to Eddie Murphy's daughter, Angel Iris, earlier this year. After first denying the little love was his, he copped up when a paternity test showed otherwise. Mel B. married Stephen Belafonte over the summer. She's moved on, as apparently has Eddie, whose romance with Tracey is described in the tabloids as sweet and old-fashioned.
And in other Spice Girl news, Posh and Becks, or Victoria and David Beckham, dined at SW Steakhouse inside the Wynn Sunday night with BFFs Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise. Katie and Tom took their little one Suri to a Spice Girls concert in L.A. earlier this month.
